Director - Monique Moses
Monique is a Canadian born Emmy nominated writer, producer, director and actor based in New York and LA. An alum of York University’s Film and Theater programs in Toronto, The New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and New York Film Academy, Monique has also studied extensively at comedy schools UCB (Upright Citizen’s Brigade) and The PIT (People’s Improv Theater), spending the last 10+ years performing, teaching and directing at her home theaters as well as venues and arts programs on both coasts.
As a television writer her credits include Teenage Euthanasia (Adult Swim), Big Mouth spin off Human Resources (Netflix), The Kid’s Tonight Show (Peacock) and consulting on projects with Jimmy Fallon (That’s My Jam, NBC Universal), Mike Myers (The Pentaverate, Netflix) and John Mulaney (Sack Lunch Bunch, Netflix). In 2022 and 2023, she was a co-Head Writer and a co-Executive Producer for Season 4 of HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show, which was nominated for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series at the 2023 Emmys. As a member of all black comedy team Astronomy Club, she co-created, wrote and starred in 'Astronomy Club The Sketch Show', which premiered on Netflix in 2019 to stellar reviews from Variety, Vulture and Rotten Tomatoes.
